Âé¶¹¹ÙÍø Students’ Union (LUSU) supports over 160 societies and student groups, as well as clubs and sports teams. From crafts to esports, Taylor Swift to scuba diving, there’s something for everyone. Check the for a complete list.

Campus events

LUSU hosts a diverse range of events throughout the year, both on and off campus. From Welcome Week and Freshers' Fair to weekly Farmers Markets, club nights at The Sugarhouse, LUSU Green eco-trips, the annual Roses Tournament and end-of-year celebrations, there is always something happening. These events help you to connect with others, try something new and make the most of your university experience.

Volunteering

LUSU offers hundreds of opportunities for students to develop leadership skills and make a difference within the university community. Whether through sports clubs, societies, colleges, special interest groups or by becoming an Academic Rep, there are many ways to get involved. LUSU also runs annual student elections to appoint its Full-Time Officers – paid student leadership roles that represent key areas of student life, including activities, wellbeing and education, and help shape the student experience for everyone.

Career development

The Careers team also work with a wide range of employers to help you find relevant work experience and career opportunities. You can learn more about these by attending Careers Fairs, employer presentations, or through interactive, employer-led workshops.
